|“Pudding Cookies” with white chocolate chips|
These are the best chocolate chip cookies I have had in a long time. My family has dubbed them the “Pudding Cookies.” The recipe comes from a wonderful high school friend, Theresa. The pudding is the secret! She makes these cookies on the large size so for her, it doesn’t make more that a couple dozen. I make them on the normal size, so the recipe makes tons and they go fast!
4.5 Cups of flour
2 tsp baking powder
2 tsp salt
4 sticks softened butter
1 1/2 Cups Light Brown Sugar
1/2 Cup granulated Sugar
1 Large Box Instant Vanilla pudding mix
2 tsp vanilla
4 Large Eggs
2 12oz Bags Nestle semi sweet chocolate morsels
Mix all ingredients together with mixer except flour, salt and baking powder.
Once mixed add salt and baking powder and flour 1 Cup at a time.
When mixed add chocolate chips.
Spoon onto ungreased cookie sheet and bake at 375 till starting to turn golden.
This is the basic recipe. Add whatever nuts or chips you choose. I don’t use 4.5 cups of flour. I stop at 4 cups and I don’t use 2 whole bags of the chips…usually one is enough for us. I add one cup of macademia nuts too.
