Welcome back to this week’s Tasty Tuesdays’ Link Party! It’s definitely spring in my neck of the woods and for me that means the fresh fruit is becoming more abundant at my grocery store and farmer’s market.  I love this time of the year when the fruit stands looks colorful and amazing.  When you’re out shopping it can often be hard to know if you’ve picked out the perfect. ripe fruit for what you need. Though it may look shiny, often appearances can be deceiving and may even not be an indicator of. And there’s nothing worse than coming home to find out you bought an under-ripe avocado for your guacamole dish or a lemon with hardly any juice for your vegetables!

That’s why next time you go grocery shopping, you need this guide on how to pick the perfect fruit every time by Shari’s Berries on hand. It quickly lists all the different ways to tell if a fruit is ripe, so there’s no more guesswork, whether you’re out shopping for a favorite fruit or looking to try something new.

I’ve chosen a few of the recipes from last week’s party that feature fruit for you (and me) to try the tips out in the handy guide. Okay, while that is true, I’m also trying to use up all of the fresh fruit I bought this week because I bought too much.

Mango Strawberry Sparkling Lemonade from Giggle Galore is the perfect drink to use fresh fruit in and hits the spot on a warm spring or summer day.
Mid-afternoon sweet cravings?  Snack on this Blueberry Tea Cake from Simply Stacie.

I love my recipe for banana bread but this Easy 3 Ingredient Banana Bread from Embellishmints is going to be making an appearance in my house, like today.

Lastly, these Chia Bumbleberry Pastries from Busy Being Jennifer is a perfect way to use up the last of different berries you have lingering in the refrigerator.
