Tis the season to stand in lines for the “must have” gifts for everyone on your list and to get your house all decked out for the holiday season.  I love Christmas.  I love decorating the house – inside and out and the tree too.  I will stress over many things during this time and yes, complain (more than I care to admit) I get very little assistance with this or that BUT I love the season.  This is the time of year I bake till I literally ache from standing in the kitchen too long,

The season also means sending out Christmas cards.  Do you send out Christmas cards?  In years past, if you were a recipient of a Christmas card from me you got the card, a letter, and pictures of the girls.  In recent years I have stopped doing the letter as I just ran out of time but I did send out cards. This year just when I was thinking about not sending out cards, I found a great website that designs the cards for you, they can even personalize the insides, have the envelope addressed for you, and you can even include a picture on the card.  I know there are many websites that do this for you but the first thing I liked about Minted is that they take their designs a step beyond other similar websites.
Their designs are created by artists (or design geniuses as they are called) through ongoingdesign competitions.  Minted allows artists to submit their creations and the “Minted community” votes on what they want to see.  Community members are people like you and me.  If you are a member of the Minted community you get to rate the designs that you want to see as products on the website.  How cool is that? The company’s purpose is “to uncover exceptional design from all over the world and bring this to savvy consumers who won’t accept anything else.”

Those savvy consumers…that’s YOU and ME.

When you are choosing a card to send to someone or out to many people for the Holidays don’t you want it to reflect your personality? Convey the perfect holiday message?  After all, you have to love what you are paying for!  Minted is a “marketplace of independent artists” who love what they do and want to share it with the world.  I actually think it’s a smart idea for artists to submit their work to Minted – it will gain exposure and increase their business.  Gotta start somewhere, right?

Back to the dilemma of which card to choose – the perfect card isn’t easily found fast.   Minted gives you so many options to choose from with filters to narrow the search so that the perfect card is the only one in front of you.  Check out their newest holiday cards here. There are so many to choose from! I dare you to pick just one you like.

Love this card – perfect for those that are in the military who have moved since the last holiday season.
This is one of the cards I have in my cart – so hard to choose!

You can even choose the type of paper you want it printed on. Environmentally friendly choices are included.  Once you have found that perfect card, personalized it, uploaded a family picture, and are ready to order you can get a discount if you don’t need to see the proof (discounts are good!!) and also you get one free digital copy of the card.  Which is great if you have forgotten someone on your list!

After you have chosen your Holiday cards, you still need to check out their site for all of great gift selection using the unique works by the talented artists.
Totally in love with this floral design for a journal!
Create this or any state with your own pictures!

Spend some time at Minted and you will find the perfect personalized gift for that “one” person that is always hard to buy for.  There’s a price range that will fit nearly everyone’s budget for both the cards and the gifts.  The items that I have placed in my cart are going to make great gifts for people…that is IF I can part with them, well I will send the cards out!

Check out minted and you’ll understand this dilemma.

Oh, and their blog,Julep, has brilliant, creative DIY ideas and you’ll “meet” some of the Minted artists. This DIY Christmas card mobile is made from wooden paint stirrers.

Betcha that you’ll spend some time there as well….I sure did!
