Easy to Make Homemade Chili Seasoning Mix

This easy to make homemade chili seasoning mix is simple, using 10 common spices that you probably already have. Takes only a few minutes to combine.

Ingredients

  • 4 tbsp of chili powder
  • 1 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 2 tsp paprika
  • 2 tbsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp dried onion flakes
  • 2 -3 tsp salt
  • 4 tsp pepper

Instructions

  • In a medium bowl, combine all ingredients and mix well.
  • Store in an air tight container at room temperature.
  • If stored in an air tight container, it will stay fresh for about a year.
  • To use the seasoning mix in chili, tacos, or fajitas; start with about 2 tablespoons per one pound of ground beef or chicken and go from there, tasting to see if you need more.
