Easy to Make Homemade Chili Seasoning Mix
This easy to make homemade chili seasoning mix is simple, using 10 common spices that you probably already have. Takes only a few minutes to combine.
- 4 tbsp of chili powder
- 1 tsp red pepper flakes
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
- 2 tsp paprika
- 2 tbsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tbsp dried onion flakes
- 2 -3 tsp salt
- 4 tsp pepper
In a medium bowl, combine all ingredients and mix well.
Store in an air tight container at room temperature.
If stored in an air tight container, it will stay fresh for about a year.
To use the seasoning mix in chili, tacos, or fajitas; start with about 2 tablespoons per one pound of ground beef or chicken and go from there, tasting to see if you need more.
