Ingredients

  • 1 store-bought pound cake
  • 1 16 ounces container of fresh strawberries
  • 1 container store-bought whipped topping
  • 2 packages sugar substitute or 2 teaspoons regular sugar

Instructions

  • Start by slicing the leafy tops off of the strawberries and slicing them up. Place in bowl and add 2 packets of sugar substitute or regular sugar. Mix and set aside so that the strawberries can macerate for about 20 minutes.
  • You can grill the pound cake using either an outdoor grill, indoor grill, or even a grill pan on the stovetop. Preheat your grill to medium high.
  • While the grill is doing its thing, slice the pound cake into one inch slices. Butter both sides of the pound cake slices.
  • When grill is ready, place slices of cake on grill, Grill until golden brown grill marks appear on both sides of cake, flipping once. Doesn't take long for this to happen.
  • Place slices of grilled pound cake on a plate and top with a heaping spoonful of whipped cream, followed strawberries. Serve!
