Captain Crunch French Toast

  • Put the cereal in the ziplock bag and close. Crush it with a rolling pin or your hands. You want to still have some texture to it. Pour into a medium shallow bowl.
  • In another medium shallow bowl, whisk the eggs, cream, vanilla, sugar, and cinnamon.
  • Grab a slice of bread and dip it into the egg mixture, do not soak it or it will be too wet to fully cook. Dip long enough to moisten both sides. Immediately place it in the bowl the cereal crumbs and coat both sides. Continue this process with the other five slices of bread.
  • Melt the butter on the griddle over medium high heat. Place coated slices of bread onto pan and cook for about 6 - 8 minutes, flipping them halfway through. You want the outside to be golden brown and crispy.
    Serve with maple syrup, fresh fruit, or your favorite toppings.
