Instructions

  • Use a sharp butcher knife to cut each Nutter Butter cookie diagonally from corner to corner. Work slowly and apply gentle pressure to keep the edges clean and reduce crumbling, especially if the cookies are very fresh.
  • Take the two cut halves and flip one piece so the angled edges meet to form a heart shape. Adjust the positioning slightly until the heart looks even before moving on.
  • Melt the candy melts in a microwave-safe bowl in short intervals, stirring between each round until smooth. Dip one cut side of the cookie into the melted coating, making sure it’s fully covered to help hold the shape together.
  • Gently press the second cut piece into the melted coating to complete the heart. Place the assembled cookie onto parchment paper and allow it to set for a minute or two before decorating so it stays in place.
  • Drizzle additional melted candy coating back and forth over the top of each heart, then immediately add sprinkles before the coating sets. Let the cookies rest until fully hardened for the best finish and easy handling.
