Holiday Eggnog Bread

This easy Holiday Eggnog Bread with a sweet eggnog glaze is moist, delicious, and perfect to have on your holiday dessert tables.

Ingredients

For the Eggnog Bread:

  • 2 1/4 cups flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 2 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 cup eggnog
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted, and cooled
  • 1 tsp vanilla

For the Glaze:

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp eggnog
  • dash nutmeg

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spary the bottom of a 9" x 5" loaf pan with non-stick spray; set aside.
  • Combine and whisk the dry ingredients in a medium bowl (flour, baking powder, salt and nutmeg.)
  • In a large bowl mix together the eggs, sugar, butter, eggnog, and vanilla.
  • Add flour mixture to wet ingredients and mix until all combined.
  • Pour batter into prepared loaf pan. Bake for 35-45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Every oven is different, baking time may differ by a few minutes.
  • Remove from oven and let cool for 5 minutes in pan; then turn out on a wire rack to cool completely before adding the glaze.
  • To make the glaze: in a small bowl mix together powdered sugar with eggnog and dash of nutmeg. You want the glaze thick but pourable. Spoon over cooled bread and immediately add your sprinkles. Let glaze set before slicing and enjoying.
