Thai Iced Tea

This Thai Iced Tea Recipe is so easy to make and tastes just like what you would order at your favorite Thai Restaurant.
Keyword: iced tea, Thai ice tea, Thai iced tea, Thai tea mix
Servings: 2 servings

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Thai tea mix (I use Pantai Tea Mix)
  • 2 cups water
  • 1/3 cup sugar (see notes)
  • 2 - 3 tablespoons half and half cream (see notes)

Instructions

  • To make the tea, you will bring 2 cups of water to a boil in a medium saucepan, add 1/2 cup of the Thai tea leaves, 1/3 cup sugar and give it a good mix. Let the tea gently boil for 3 minutes.
  • Once the 3 minutes is up, remove saucepan from heat, and allow tea to steep at room temperature for 30 - 40 minutes while it is cooling. When it's cool, strain the tea using a cheesecloth filter,
  • Fill two tall glasses with ice and pour tea into them.
  • Slowly pour about 3 tablespoons of half and half cream into each glass. Give it a stir and enjoy!

Notes

I found that 1/3 cup sugar was perfect, but adjust to your tastes.
Use half and half cream, whole milk, heavy cream, or even coconut milk.
Of course, if you prefer to make your own homemade Thai tea mix, this recipe is perfect for that.
