  • Preheat and prep the pan – Preheat your oven to 350°F and lightly spray a 13x9 inch baking pan with non-stick spray.
  • Mix the batter – In a large bowl, combine the dry mix from the box with the water, eggs, and avocado oil. Stir until smooth and well combined.
  • Add chocolate chips – Fold in the chocolate chips. Pour the batter evenly into the prepared pan.
  • Top with conversation hearts – Place candy conversation hearts across the batter, spacing them a couple of inches apart. No need to press them down—they will sink slightly as it bakes.
  • Bake and cool – Bake according to the box instructions, usually 25–35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs. Let the brownies cool completely in the pan before cutting into squares.
