Tasty Tuesdays’ Link Party: Fall Flavors Shine Through
Welcome to this week’s Tasty Tuesdays’ Link Party where we are dishing the best recipes. Each week, food bloggers link up their very best and tasty recipes and we want you to join us! If you’re a food blogger, share your delicious recipes on the link party. Not a blogger? No worries, this party is for you, too. Why? Because, here you can find tasty dishes to add to your menus.
I apologize for not having the party up for you last week. I admitted defeat with technology and the world wide web powers-to-be. Back up and ready to go now!
Maybe it’s because Starbucks is now selling pumpkin spice lattes, or maybe it’s that the calendar has moved to September, but I am so down for Fall to be here. Of course, in Middle Georgia the weather is still proclaiming to be Summer. I can see tiny hints that the cooler weather is on the horizon, like the humidity isn’t gonna kill me, and it’s starting to get darker a wee bit earlier. This week my features all have flavors that speak Fall to me.
Share your favorite Fall foods in the comments!
You can get apples any time of the year, but in the Fall I see more varieties than ever. My favorite is the Honeycrisp apples; they are crisp, slightly tart and a hint of sweet. I think they would be perfect in Cooking with Curls’ Apple Harvest Salad.
As you know, I love a good “One Pan” meal! I am giddy about this Roast Chicken Skillet Dinner from Munaty Cooking. There’s something about roasting chicken with vegetables for dinner on a cool evening. Comfort food!
This recipe for Maple-Caramelized Bananas may not be a Fall food to you, but I think that maple flavoring is a wonderfully warm Fall treat to bump up the sweetness of nearly any dessert. Check out the recipe on The Not So Creative Cook’s blog.
I’m not going to lie, I would pour this Pumpkin Spice Caramel from Busy Being Jennifer on nearly anything and in almost anything. Can you imagine this in your coffee? Drizzled over ice cream? The possibilities seem endless to me. Pass me a spoon!
