Ingredients

  • 8 slices Brioche bread from a (14.1 ounce loaf)
  • ½ cup milk
  • 2 eggs
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla
  • pinch nutmeg
  • fresh berries
  • maple syrup

Instructions

  • Cut the ends off the brioche bread (unless you want to use them), and then cut the loaf into 8 thick slices.
  • Preheat your skillet or griddle over medium-low to medium heat. In a shallow bowl, combine the milk, eggs, vanilla, and nutmeg. Dip each side of the bread into the custard mixture, one at a time. Cooke the slices on a skillet and cook on one side for 4 minutes, flip over, then cook for an additional 3 minutes, until golden brown. Serve with butter, fresh berries, and syrup.
