Apple Pork Chops

Tender pork chops baked with sweet apples in a simple oven dish that’s easy to prep and perfect for a comforting family dinner.

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 3 - 4 boneless pork chops trimmed of visible fat
  • 2-3 apples peeled, cored, and thinly sliced
  • ¼ cup brown sugar

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.  Spray a 9"x9" baking dish with nonstick spray.
  • Peel, core, and thinly slice the apples. Spread them evenly across the bottom of the prepared baking dish. Sprinkle brown sugar over apples.
  • Melt butter in a skillet over medium-high heat. Brown the pork chops on both sides, about 2 to 3 minutes per side, then remove from heat.
  • Place pork chops on top of apples and brown sugar.
  • Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes to 1 hour, or until pork chops are tender and cooked through.
  • To serve: place pork chops on serving plate and spoon apples and sauce over chops.
