Keyword: candy bark, chocolate and peanut butter candy
Servings: 1 8x10inch piece
- 8 ounces good quality milk chocolate
- ¾ cup Reese's Peanut Butter Chips
- 2 - 3 teaspoons melted coconut oil
- 1 cup mini Reese's Peanut Butter Cups
Place parchment paper on a large sheet pan. Set aside.
Follow the package directions for melting the milk chocolate. I microwaved mine at half power in 30-second increments, stirring after every 30 seconds until melted and smooth.
Spread the melted chocolate in an even layer on the parchment paper, it will NOT cover the pan. I used an offset spatula to create an even and smooth layer.
Melt peanut butter chips in a microwave-safe bowl by microwaving at half power in 20-second intervals, stirring until melted. The chips should be smooth and run off the spoon easily. If yours seems too thick, stir in 2 – 3 teaspoons of melted coconut oil to thin it out. Just enough to make it smooth and pourable.
Drizzle the melted peanut butter chips on top of the chocolate. Run a toothpick or knife through the peanut butter in a circular motion to get the swirl effect.
Sprinkle evenly with peanut butter cups. Let the candy set at room temperature, for 1 to 2 hours or until firm. Alternatively, you can place the pan in the refrigerator until the candy is firm. Break or cut into serving-size pieces.
serve and enjoy
- Use a good quality melting chocolate, like Ghirardelli.
- Peanut butter chips can be found in the baking aisle in the grocery store. I like to use these.
- When melting any chocolate, following the package directions is key.
- If you can’t find the mini peanut butter cups, you can use the regular-sized ones and cut them into pieces.
- When holiday candy goes on sale, like the Reese’s Cups, I like to buy an extra bag or two and place in the freezer. They’re great for cravings but also for recipes like this one or to use in Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup Ice Cream.
- I like to use an offset spatula to spread the melted candy evenly and smoothly.
