Loaded Tater Tot Skewers

These Loaded Tater Tot Skewers are so easy to make and really are the perfect appetizer for parties, game days, and so much more. Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and topped with all the favorite potato toppings.

Equipment

  • 12 wooden skewers
  • small bowl for sour cream

Ingredients

  • 48 tater tots
  • ½ cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • ¼ cup real bacon pieces, not bits
  • 1 - 2 green onions, sliced

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 425 degrees, spray a large baking sheet with nonstick spray, add the frozen tater tots in a single layer, and bake the tater tots according to the package directions, for about 25 – 28 minutes, flipping them once halfway through.
  • Remove from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes. When they’re cool enough to pick up with your fingers, add 4 to 6 tater tots to each skewer. Place the skewers on a parchment lined baking sheet. and top the tots with the shredded cheese.
  • Then add the bacon bits and half of the chopped green onion.
  • Return them to the oven and bake for another 5 to 7 minutes until the cheese is melted. Remove from the oven, place on a serving platter, and sprinkle them with the remaining green onions. Serve with sour cream or your favorite dipping sauce.
