Chocolate Glazed Apple Hand Pies made in the air fryer and filled with a sweet homemade apple pie filling. Drizzling chocolate over the hand pies takes them to a whole new level of goodness. Quick and easy dessert for any night of the week.

This is my last recipe for #AppleWeek and it’s one delicious apple hand pie that’s drizzled with chocolate. So easy to make when you use refrigerated pie crust dough. Easy Peasy! The best part is that they are air fried – the crust comes out crispy, flaky and tender on the inside. The apple pie filling comes together quickly on the stove-top and is easy to make.
Have you found your favorite recipe from the week yet? I can’t decide, there are so many delicious recipes from everyone. I hope you were able to enter the fabulous giveaway from our sponsors, but if not, you can do so at the bottom of this post. If you want to know more about the sponsors or the prizes, that can be found on this round up of 12 Delicious Apple Recipes. Don’t forget that the recipes for today’s event and the giveaway are below the recipe!
My Air Fryer Chocolate Glazed Apple Hand Pies have some really wonderful quality products in them. From the Envy Apples used in the filling, to the chocolate from Chocoley that I melted and drizzled on top. I even added some of the vanilla bean paste from Taylor & Colledge to the filling. Even the Zyliss apple corer and knife used to prep the apples were top notch. That apple corer has become my favorite!
Tips to Make Air Fryer Chocolate Glazed Apple Hand Pies:
As usual, I like to make sure I have all the ingredients out for each recipe before I start baking or cooking. It helps to make sure you have everything before you get too far in the recipe and also it’s handy to have the ingredients right there in front of you.
Be sure to let the pie crust dough come to room temperature for about 30 minutes before using.
Dice your apples on the small side since you are only using one tablespoon of filling in each hand pie, you want to get the most apple you can in the pie.
Be sure to cook your apples until they are tender through, they will only be in the air fryer a short time so the apples need to be done.
Once your apple filling is cooked, start preparing the pie crusts for the filling. Unroll each pie crust and using a 4 inch biscuit cutter (the rim of a 4 inch glass works well, too) and cut out circles. You may need to reroll the scraps to get enough crusts for all of the filling.
Then, using a one tablespoon cookie scoop or measuring spoon, place a apple pie filling in the center of each circle.
Fold dough over and crimp to seal using your fingers or a fork. Brush each with a little egg wash.
There is no need to preheat the air fryer for this recipe. Simply spray the basket with non-stick spray and place your hand pies in without crowding them. I can fit three in mine with the pies not touching each other. Air fry them at 350 degrees for about 9-11 minutes, depending on your air fryer. Remove to wire cooling rack to cool a bit before glazing.
You can bake the hand pies in the oven, if you don’t have an air fryer. Bake them in 425 degree oven for about 15 minutes.
To make the glaze, I used Chocoley’s Bada Bing Bada Boom Milk Chocolate melting it in the microwave and then pour it into a squeeze bottle to then drizzle over the hand pies. The chocolate sets pretty quickly and then you can enjoy the hand pies!
Chocolate Glazed Apple Hand Pies are so good and make the perfect snack or dessert.
