Apple Stuffing Muffin Cups
Apple Stuffing Muffin Cups are individual portions of stuffing that are easy to make and serve. Each stuffing muffin has a crunchy bite and full of classic flavors. Great way to serve them for your holiday dinners.
We’re a family that can eat stuffing anytime of the year and not just on Thanksgiving. In fact, one of our favorite meals to have is this pork chop and stuffing recipe. You can even make it with chicken and not be disappointed. Whether you make your own stuffing or use the boxed type, it’s a winner. Just as these Apple Stuffing Muffin Cups are. This recipe is super easy using a boxed variety with some add ins like diced celery and apples.
Do you like the crunchy tops of the stuffing? We sure do and when you make these stuffing muffin cups in a muffin tin, everybody is happy. Plus, having individual servings is a great way to serve these on a buffet dinner table or passing a bowl with the stuffing cups around.

Apple Stuffing Muffin Cups
I mentioned that you can easily use this recipe with your own homemade stuffing but let’s be real, sometimes time gets the best of us and we need a few shortcuts. Apple Muffins will taste like you made it all from scratch, really it will. Adding in the sauteed apples, celery and freshly minced garlic will give the boxed stuffing a homemade touch. Of course, you aren’t limited to those add-ins.
Can you make the stuffing ahead of time?
Yes, you can. I like to make the stuffing the day before and then take it out of the refrigerator right before using it. While I am sauteing the apples and celery, the stuffing comes to room temperature. Add the stuffing the apples and celery and mix and prepare the muffin cups as directed in the recipe card.
Ingredients
- box of stuffing mix (like Stove-Top)
- water
- butter
- apple
- celery
- garlic
How to Make Apple Stuffing Muffin Cups
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350°F. Spray regular-size muffin pan with non-stick cooking spray.
Step 2
Prepare stuffing as directed on the box. While the stuffing is setting up, melt the butter in a large skillet, over medium-high heat. Add in the diced apples, celery, and garlic. Saute until the apples are tender, about 5-8 minutes. Turn off heat. Add the stuffing to the large skillet with the apples and celery, give it all a good stir.
Step 3
Divide evenly among the muffin cups. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown. Allow to cool in pan a few minutes, so they won’t fall apart when you remove them.

Yum! Adding apples to the stuffing sounds delicious.
We make these now and they are delicious. So much easier than a pan of stuffing.
My favorite part of stuffing are the crispy bits and these will have even more of them! Love the addition of apples too!
So fun for Thanksgiving and the kids love that they have their “own serving.” Plus they actually got in the kitchen and helped make them so that is a bonus for sure:)
This sounds super delicious and love the idea of muffin sized portion!
Such a fun holiday muffin!
What a fun recipe and so so easy too! I made a few in mini muffin tin which were super fun as an appetizer too.
It’s like 360 degrees of crispy goodness on the outside and stuffing yum on the inside. Love it!
Can these be made ahead and frozen? They sound delicious and would like to prepare in advance if possible.
Darlene, yes you can. Prepare them as directed, allow to cool, then place them on a parchment paper lined baking sheet. Place in freeze to flash freeze. Once frozen, toss them in a freezer safe container and freeze. No need to thaw before heating back up in the oven.
