You’ve made rice krispie treats before, or at least have eaten them; so you know how wonderfully delicious they can be. Have you made the gooey marshmallow treats with another cereal? Making these cereal treats with Captain Crunch Berries was a great idea if the empty container is any indication. They went fast!

Making Captain Crunch cereal treats is super easy and very much the same as making rice krispie treats. So easy that kids can help make them.
They’re perfect for snacking, lunch box treats, or a sweet treat for dessert. You’ll also want to try Honey Nut Cheerios Treats; they’re just as delicious.
How to Make Captain Crunch Marshmallow Krispies
First thing you will want to do is to spray your 13 x 9 inch pan with nonstick spray. Next, melt 4 tablespoons of butter in a large pot or Dutch oven over medium-low heat. Once the butter is melted, add in 5 cups of mini marshmallows.
Stir until melted. Turn off heat and remove pot.
Then add in 6 cups of Captain Crunch Berries (or you favorite Captain Crunch cereal) with one cup of mini marshmallows. Stir until combined.
Spread evenly into the prepared pan and press down slightly. It helps to either use a buttered spatula or spray your hands with nonstick spray when spreading the cereal mixture.
Allow to cool and set at room temperature before cutting into squares and enjoying.
How to store cereal bars
These treats are best the day they are made but they can be kept in an airtight container for up to a week.
Refrigerating the treats may make them too soft.
If you wrap the treats well in non-stick foil then place in a zip-top bag you may freeze the treats for up to a month. To thaw set the treats on your counter for at least 1 hour before un-wrapping the treats.
