Making these boneless pork chops in your slow cooker is a breeze, proving that simple ingredients can deliver extraordinary flavor. The minimal prep of arranging the pork and mushrooms and adding the gravy mix and water means you spend less than 10 minutes getting dinner ready.

The brown gravy mix really is the hero ingredient here, creating a wonderfully savory sauce as it cooks down with the pork and mushrooms. The slow cooker method guarantees the pork chops come out incredibly tender and moist every single time.

Timesaving Tips and Variations

If you are looking for ways to adapt this classic recipe or shave off a few extra minutes, here are some helpful suggestions.

  • You can easily swap boneless chops for thicker, bone-in pork ones; just add about an hour to the cooking time to ensure they reach maximum tenderness.
  • Toss in a diced yellow onion or a few cloves of minced garlic with the mushrooms for an extra layer of flavor.
  • Use beef broth instead of water for an even deeper flavorful gravy base.

Best Side Dishes to Serve with Pork Chops

If you’re wondering what to serve with pork chops, you’re in good company. Whether you like comfort food favorites or lighter, veggie-packed options, there’s something here for everyone.

The best part about making these chops is choosing what to serve with them. That savory gravy practically begs for something to soak it up, and the options are endless.

Frequently Asked Questions

How can I make the gravy thicker?

If your gravy is too thin, you can easily thicken it at the end. Either mix one tablespoon of cornstarch with one tablespoon of cold water to create a slurry and stir it in, or simply add a third brown gravy mix packet and whisk it right into the sauce before serving.

Can I use bone-in pork chops for this recipe?

Yes, bone-in pork chops work just as well. They may need a little extra cooking time, so check for tenderness before serving.

Can I freeze the leftovers?

Yes, these pork chops freeze beautifully. Store them in an airtight container for up to 3 months and reheat gently before serving.
