How to Put a Charcuterie Board Together

The first step is to choose your board. You don’t need a fancy expensive one. Using a large platter or wooden board is a great option, even a baking sheet! I used a piece of parchment paper to cover my board to help reduce staining. The board I used here is a 14-inch round one but use what you have. The great thing about charcuterie boards is that you can customize them to the size and shape of your board, or make multiple boards, even! Large crowds may require a very large board or even several smaller ones.

Fresh fruits are great space fillers for charcuterie boards and using small containers for some gives the boards a bit more depth with the different elements.

I used some of the colorfully wrapped candy coins to fill in any spaces I saw. The arrangement of patriotic charcuterie board ideas given is merely a suggestion, the point is to have a variety of items and containers.
