Since making homemade candy like this is a simple process, I tend to make it often for friends. Once it’s made, there are so many festive ways to enjoy it. Halloween Candy Bark would be delicious to add to your spooky party table or to wrap up in cute treat bags to hand out when your guests leave.

Halloween Candy Bark

Making Halloween Candy Bark is a super easy project and fun to eat. All you need is a baking sheet, some parchment paper, and a variety of Halloween candies. You’ll also need chocolate, of course. Just melt the chocolate, spread it on the baking sheet, sprinkle on your favorite candies, and let it set. It’s like creating your own little Halloween masterpiece.

One of the best things about making this candy recipe is that you can customize it to your liking, just like I did with different colored chocolate. Want a spooky black and orange bark? Use dark chocolate and black and orange M&Ms. Prefer a colorful and festive treat? Mix up white, milk, and dark chocolate with a variety of colorful candies. The possibilities are endless.

Timesaving Tips and Variations

Using these tips will give you the best results and delicious candy to snack on with enough ways to change it up for any party theme.

  • There are a variety of colored chocolate melting wafers sold in the craft stores. Get creative with your colors or use a blend of dark chocolate and white chocolate.
  • It’s important to follow the chocolate package’s directions for melting so that your chocolate doesn’t seize.
  • You can use white chocolate chips, and I recommend that if you do, you use a double boiler to melt the chips.
  • This is also a wonderful way to use up some of that Halloween candy.
  • Cut up candy bars into smaller pieces to use, add nuts, or add themed M&M candies.
  • To speed up the setting up of the candy, you can refrigerate it until firm and then allow it to come to room temperature before cutting or breaking it into pieces.
  • Use a knife or a pizza cutter for clean slices.
  • You can double or triple it if you want to serve it at a party or share it with friends and family.

Making candy using almond bark or candy melting wafers is an easy way to make a last minute treat for an event or to give as gifts.

Directions to Make Halloween Candy Bark

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the white candy melts in 30-second intervals, stirring well after each interval until smooth and fully melted. Pour the melted white candy onto the prepared baking sheet and spread it into an even layer using a spatula. Aim for about 1/4 inch thickness.
