It’s time for Happiness is Homemade Link Party! Every week bloggers link up their favorite recipes, DIY, crafts, and so so much more.  It’s hard for us to choose a few to feature each week because every single one is amazing.  This month, Bev is our hostess and she’s managed to narrow her selections down to a  few wonderful posts.  Check them out.

A note from Bev @Eclectic Red Barn – I am your hostess for the month of August. Can you believe that it is August? For many of you, that means – the kids are going back to school. Are you getting school clothes and supplies ready? Maybe you will be going a vacation, since August is the most popular vacation month. Whatever is on your agenda for August, I will be here each week showcasing some amazing features. Check out this week’s:

Features for Happiness Is Homemade #282

I love it when the house smells great. One way to accomplish that is by creating your own carpet deodorizer.  Jennifer over at Busy Being Jennifer has a great recipe for an Apple Pie Carpet Deodorizer.

It’s summer and it is hot. What better way to enjoy a refreshing lunch than with Marilyn’s Avocado and Grapefruit salad with Honey Lemon Dressing.

When it is hot, or anytime really, there’s nothing like a dessert that is easy to make.  Laura over at Everyday Edits shares this Cherry Crumble. You can make it ahead of time and then grab it out of the fridge and enjoy.

If you are one of those that has to get the kiddos ready for school, Carol, over at Comfort Spring had a free printable checklist for organizing the kids and home for back to school.

With all of this hot weather across the country, you might like to chill out with this Pineapple Malibu Slushie Recipe from Ann’s Entitled Life. Does that looking refreshing or what?
