Orange-Vanilla Monkey Bread

Things here are just a tad bit hectic with my finals just around the corner, Thanksgiving next week and then oh my gosh, Christmas not too far behind.  I don’t even know what I did five minutes ago but I hope all the studying I have been doing pays off on those finals!  I finally had a chance to do some cooking and baking and to update my blog.  Hope ya’ll didn’t forget about me!!  I love all the comments I have been getting, please keep them coming!

I would love to take credit for this sweet treat but I just can’t.  I can take credit for eating it and the fact that I chose wisely in making this wonderfully out of this world monkey bread.  The recipe is from The Pioneer Woman’s site and when she said this bread was evil, as in sinfully good, she was NOT kidding.

I did make one change – I used unsalted butter instead of salted butter.

Ingredients:

3 cans (7.5 Ounces Each) Buttermilk Biscuits (not The Flaky Kind), Cold
1 cup Sugar
2 whole Oranges, Zested
1 dash Salt
2 sticks Salted Butter
3/4 cups Brown Sugar
1 Tablespoon Vanilla ExtractInstructions:

Preheat the oven to 350 F.First, make sure all the biscuit cans are very cold.  Open all the cans of biscuits and cut the biscuits into quarters.

Enjoy!
