I always make this Christmas tree shaped cheese board for our holiday snacking as my family loves it and I never seem to put enough on my Santa Charcuterie Board for them. They both are so festive and go together so well. The platter varies from year to year with the types of cheeses but it’s a tradition for us to have.

Christmas Tree Cheese Board

There are so many types of cheese to use for this Christmas charcuterie and each time I make this I use different kinds. This time I used Gouda and Colby Jack but I have used pepper jack, swiss, cheddar, and mozzarella before. I like to use cherry tomatoes or grape tomatoes for a pop of color and no tree is complete without some greenery for garland. The fresh rosemary is perfect for that and smells wonderful, too.

Timesaving Tips and Variations

By following these suggested tips, you can create a Christmas Cheese Board that is both beautiful and delicious.

  • Cheese selections are suggested but you use what you and your guests will enjoy.
  • Add a fruit charcuterie board with a selection of crackers and nuts to serve with this recipe.
  • Serve your cheese at room temperature to allow the flavors to fully develop.
  • Use a star-shaped cookie cutter to cut a slice of Colby Jack into a star for the tree topper. Place it carefully at the top of the triangle.

Most of all, set up your board in a way that makes it easy for guests to serve themselves.
