These Easy Loaded Sheet Pan Nachos can be made in many ways, and there isn’t a wrong way. That’s why I love making nachos for an easy dinner or to serve as Game Day food. They even show up on movie nights. I don’t think I’ve made them the same way twice as there are so many options for toppings.

The last time I made them I used some of what I had left from our recent taco night and added a few more items. Using a sheet pan to bake the nachos means more chips to enjoy for a crowd. I can usually get two or three sheet pans in my oven. Oh, and serving from the pan means less mess and dishes! That makes this an excellent one pan recipe!

Why You’ll Love This Recipe

  • These easy sheet pan nachos can feed a crowd.
  • Add your favorite toppings – no right or wrong way to make them.
  • Layering the ingredients means more toppings on each chip. That’s a win!
  • Sheet Pan Beef Nachos make an easy appetizer and perfect game day food.

Easy Loaded Sheet Pan Nachos

Sheet pan nachos are the ultimate snack food with layers of flavor on every tortilla chip. I like to use less cheese than when my husband makes them but that’s the beauty of this recipe. You can make them any way you want. It’s a blank canvas and you are the artist. We also like to make these Irish Pub Style Potato Nachos.

Baking the nachos in the oven means you end up with crispy chips and not soggy like you would if you used the microwave. Don’t get me wrong, microwave nachos are a thing in my house but it is usually just chips, salsa, and cheese – nothing fancy like when I go all out and make these homemade sheet pan nachos.

Do I have to Use Ground Beef?

No, you don’t have to use ground beef. In fact, I’ve made them with ground turkey and ground spicy sausage. Ground chicken works well, too. If you have leftover pulled pork, use that in place of the ground beef.

What Types of Tortilla Chips Work Best for Sheet Pan Nachos?

I like to use a thicker tortilla chip so that it stands up to the layers of toppings while baking and eating the nachos. If you have a thinner chip, you may want to do a double layer of chips as the base. Whether you want white, yellow, or blue corn that’s entirely up to you.

What is the Best Cheese for Sheet Pan Nachos?

The best cheese to use for nachos is really a personal preference. I like to use cheddar and Monterey Jack but a Mexican blend is great also. Just make sure it’s good melty cheese.

Pro Tip: Prep all the ingredients before assembling the nachos to bake. This saves time!

Leftovers

Store any leftovers in the refrigerator in a covered container. I do not recommend reheating leftover nachos in the microwave as they will get soggy. Reheat on a sheet pan or in the air fryer.
